In-Person and Virtual Remediation
Students are seen on a one-to-one basis. After an intake session, educational goals are established to meet the individual needs of the student based on a review of neuropsychological testing (if available), teacher/parent observation, and formal and informal assessment. Through the use of research-based teaching methods, skills are developed and strengthened. Diagnostic teaching and formal and informal assessments are used to monitor student progress and development. In-person and virtual sessions are available.
Educational Therapy is valuable for students struggling to meet their academic potential due to diagnosed or undiagnosed learning and processing challenges, such as dyslexia, auditory processing delay, language processing disorder (listening/speaking/reading/writing), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), executive function challenge, or dyscalculia (math).

Testimonials
In second grade my daughter was two years behind her peers in reading, frustrated with homework, and just felt dumb in school. Then, we found Liz. Liz understood how my daughter’s mind worked. She explained things with patience in a way that finally made sense. She taught her helpful tips to remember information and great organizational skills. Now, my daughter, a high schooler, is thriving as a confident, straight-A student. Liz gave her a strong foundation she still uses today, setting her up for success. Liz is a compassionate, caring teacher who loves what she does. We are so grateful for Liz’s help and guidance. My daughter wouldn’t be the student she is without her.
Parent of a 9th-grade student
I have had the pleasure of sharing a number of clients with Liz over the years, and I strongly recommend her as an educational therapist. Liz is a curious and compassionate therapist who inspires her students to achieve. She is highly skilled in remediation with expertise in reading, writing, and executive function skill development. Her ability to understand students’ unique learning/neurocognitive profiles allows her to take a strength-driven and individualize approach to intervention. She engages students in a fun and creative manner that fosters their ability to think critically as well as practically about themselves and the learning process. Her organization, drive, and passion for learning make her an excellent role model for students. She collaborates well with allied professionals and families and is dedicated to helping students achieve. I wish all my students could work with Liz; I am confident in her ability to meet students where they are, help them develop goals, and put them on a path to success.
Kristina, Neuropsychologist
I’m so lucky to have her as my tutor. Liz has taught me everything to get through school. She instructed me on tricks and life hacks, valuable organization skills, and how to manage my time better. She showed me different ways to process information. She’s basically made my school life so much easier.
Madalyn, 9th-grade student
Liz is a true blessing to our family. My daughter is much more organized in her planning and even her room. She even wants to start up a “planning and organization club” at school to teach her techniques to the other girls. That is how motivated she is!!!! I can’t thank Liz enough for her support and dedication to our daughter.
Parent of a 10th-grade student
Liz Lutsky is not only a wealth of knowledge and know-how, but she is also the most empathetic and enthusiastic educator I know. Having worked with and known Liz for over 20 years, I have watched the tremendous impact she has had on both students and parents. She is a consummate professional and is a life-long learner, always looking to add to her tremendous knowledge-base. Her dedication is unparalleled.
Lainie, Educational Therapist
With her warmth and humor, Liz quickly created a positive working relationship with my son. His biggest struggle had been executive functioning and Liz helped him make major shifts in this area — which allowed me to let go of being the homework police and just be his mom. My son not only looks forward to working with her but has made great strides academically.
